Carrot Keer Munuaunty's

One of the most nutritious sweets.  It is so tasty and healthy that you can have it everyday with less sugar.  This helps children receive the sufficient amount of proteins and vitamins needed everyday.

Ingredients

  • 2 Big Carrots
  • 4 glasses Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 10 Cashew Nuts
  • 3/4 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the carrots, peel them and cut them into medium pieces.

  2. Boil them in the cooker for 5 minutes after the whistle.  After they cool grind them to a smooth paste.  Soak the cashew nuts for 15 minutes and grind them also.

  3. Take four glasses of milk in a thick vessel and boil then add carrot pulp and cashew paste and stir well also add sugar according to taste.  

  4. Let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes add cardamom powder and switch off.  You can also add some fried nuts to this.  

  5. Serve hot or chilled.

Nutritious and healthy payasam cooling to the body as both green gram and sabudana are cooling.  Children love sweets so by making this you will be giving them a sweet rich in proteins, calcium and vitamins.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Green Gram without coat (pesalapapu)
  • 1/2 cup Sabudana (sagubiyam)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 glass Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 10 Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder

Instructions

  1. Wash the green gram and soak it in water for 15 minutes same with sabudana.

  2. Then take green gram in a cooker add ghee and fry them till the raw smell leaves and boil them for three whistles.  

  3. Then take a pan add 2 tsp ghee and fry the cashews and keep aside then add sabudana and water and let it boil till it softens now add the boiled dal and milk and sugar and let boil for another five minutes.

  4. Lastly add the cardamom powder and cashews and serve hot or cold whichever way you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 2 glasses Parboiled Rice
  • 2 glasses Rice
  • 1 glass Urad Dal ( black gram )
  • 1/4 tsp Soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Wash all the above grains and soak them overnight in water.

  2. Next day grind them into smooth batter and add salt and soda and mix well.

  3. Take dosa pan and rub the pan with oil and cut onion piece then take a big ladle full of the batter and pour it in the middle of the pan and spread it evenly to form a round and leave oil round the dosa and take it out slowly when lightly brown.

  4. Serve hot with chutney and sambar. Use a wooden spatula to remove the dosa.
