Nutritious and healthy payasam cooling to the body as both green gram and sabudana are cooling. Children love sweets so by making this you will be giving them a sweet rich in proteins, calcium and vitamins.
Wash the green gram and soak it in water for 15 minutes same with sabudana.
Then take green gram in a cooker add ghee and fry them till the raw smell leaves and boil them for three whistles.
Then take a pan add 2 tsp ghee and fry the cashews and keep aside then add sabudana and water and let it boil till it softens now add the boiled dal and milk and sugar and let boil for another five minutes.
Lastly add the cardamom powder and cashews and serve hot or cold whichever way you prefer.
