Vankaya Guju Kura
I like this recipe a lot. It tastes like the biryanis the restaurants make. Eggs high in proteins and a boon for the vegetarians who can get enough protein from eggs. Egg is considered veg and many vegetarians are also eating it for B12 also. This one dish is enough for those sunday afternoons for our bachelors who don't want to waste their precious Sunday cooking two three dishes. This one dish is enough to make your lunch special.
Wash the rice and soak in 31/2 glasses water for Half an hour. Clean and cut the onions and tomatoes into small pieces. Slit the green chilies and keep aside.
Fry and grind the poppy seeds and tomatoes. Take a pan add 2tbsp oil and 1 tbsp Ghee and fry the onion pieces till golden brown add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala powder, coriander leaves and powder and the tomato paste and fry till oil starts to surface.
Mean while cook the rice and keep ready. Also Boil the eggs and remove the shell and keep ready.
Then take a flat bottomed dish and layer the rice and masala and eggs then again rice and pour the milk on top and cook on slow flame, cover with a lid and seal it, and cook for 25 minutes to 30 minutes and switch off. If you want you can add some orange colour if you want.
So easy young children will love this. My mom used to make it when we were very young it is one of my favourite dishes. I still remember the taste. Very few ingredients used but you get a very unique and delicious taste.
When ever I am in a hurry and don't have much time I make this paneer curry so so easy even children can make this but it is so tasty you will be making it every other day. You get all the nutrients you need from this curry you can combine it with chapati, rice and noodles.
Wash the paneer block in hot water and then cut it into pieces and add all the above ingredients and marinate for 2 to 3 hours.
Chop the garlic and ginger into small pieces. slit the green chilies. Now take a pan add 2 tbsp oil and put the garlic and ginger pieces, curry leaves and slit green chilies and fry till a nice aroma comes then add paneer pieces and fry for 3 minutes and switch off
Before you switch off garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Don't fry for too long the paneer gets a little bit hardened.
Another simple variety of chicken recipe. Easy and tasty with the usual ingredients.
Indian cum chinese recipe. Soya sauce is used so i said chinese. The rest is made south Indian style.
Easy recipe but tasty, will be like by young and old. Few ingredients but they give such good taste to the chicken. Might not come out restaurant type but will satisfy your taste buds and a new variety of chicken to make.
Wash the chicken Squeeze out the water from the chicken and take it in a dish and add all the above ingredients and mix well and marinate for 7 hours.
After seven hours thread the pieces to the skewers and cook on charcoal fire or in the oven or tandoor for 10 minutes to 15 minutes.
Add lemon juice to the pieces and serve hot.
Very tasty but a little complicated worth making it. My aunty used to make on special occasions i used to enjoy eating it. Try it and enjoy a very delicious and rich meal.
