Easy and tasty dish.
First wash peel and cut the gourd into pieces. to take away the bitterness boil them in salt water add 3 tsp jaggery and marble sized tamarind and once the pieces are cooked switch off and drain the water and keep aside
Now grind cumin and onion and keep aside
Take a pan add 1 tbsp oil and add seasoning,( channa dal, urad dal 1/4 tsp each ) and 6 curry leaves once they splutter add the onion and cumin paste fry for two minutes and add boiled bitter gourd pieces and turmeric, salt and Chili powder and fry till the curry gets slightly brown, switch off and serve hot
