A delicious side dish which is packed with healthy ingredients and a favorite in our family. Not easily available in Indian restaurants but one of the best Indian dishes to make.
First grind the ingredients for making the masala.
Add the ingredients listed in the Seasoning above in a pan to create a seasoning.
Add the following in a pan and fry:
Oil
Seasoning (made above)
Finely cut Onion
Slit Green Chillies
Add Bottle Gourd pieces to this mixture.
After 5 min, add the following and fry for some time:
Masala (made above)
Ginger Garlic paste
Then add Tamarind juice and little water.
Boil till the Bottle Gourd is cooked.
(IF PRESSURE COOKER IS BEING USED, THEN REMOVE AFTER 5 MIN AFTER THE WHISTLE IS HEARD)
