Marie Chocolate Delicacy

It is a delictable sweet with milk, cocoa powder, custard powder and marie biscuits. It was an experiment I made and it turned out so good that everyone loved it especially my daughter who loves anything with cocoa. Try it and enjoy. Cocoa is an good anti oxidant so do not be scared to eat this sweet once in a while. It needs less sugar too.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 litre Milk
  • 6 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Custard Powder
  • 3-4 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 4 pieces Cadbury
  • 10 Marie biscuits

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk add sugar, then mix the custard in cold milk ( custard powder should always be mixed in little cold milk and then added) and add it to the boiling milk.

  2. Add the cocoa powder and the cadbury pieces to the milk and stir well. Cook for 10 minutes on low flame.

  3. Keep stirring continuously and when it thickens switch off and leave to cool.

  4. Now take a flat bottomed dish and arrange five marie biscuits in it and pour half of the cool custard, then again arrange the rest of the biscuits in the dish and then pour the rest of the custard on top evenly and freeze it. 

  5. Serve cool. Enjoy the chocolaty taste of the marie biscuits is yummy.

It was an experiment made by one of our aunt's cooks.  She had brinjal curry ready as guests were coming for lunch she wanted to make another extra curry by as time was less she took the same brinjal curry and added paneer and it turned out so good that all the guests wanted the recipe but i was lucky to extract it from her.

Ingredients

  • 6 Brinjals
  • 2 Onions big
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 11/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Kitchen King Masala
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

Instructions

  1. First wash the brinjals and cut them into medium pieces and put them in salt water.  Cut the tomatoes and onions into small pieces.

  2. Take a pan add oil and temper with 1/2 tsp of mustard and cumin and 5 curry leaves after they splutter add onions and fry till translucent.

  3. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry till lightly brown then add tomatoes, turmeric, salt, chili powder, coriander powder and kitchen king masala and fry till the tomatoes get mushy.

  4. Then add brinjals and cook with lid closed for 10 minutes. Once they are cooked wash the paneer and cut into pieces and add it to the curry and pour 1/2 a glass water and cook.

  5. Once the oil starts to surface and the curry gets close switch off and serve hot with rice or rotis.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg Rava (Sooji Fine)
  • 1/2 kg Sugar
  • 10 Cashewnuts
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Powder the sugar and keep aside.  Take 4 cardamoms take out the skin and powder the seeds along with the sugar and keep aside.

  2. Take a pan add 2 tsp ghee and fry the rava till the raw smell goes just when it starts to change color switch off.  Fry the cashew nuts and keep aside.

  3. Now mix the rava and sugar powder and take the amount needed to make a laddu in a bowl pour milk with a spoon and add half cashew nut and make a ball.

  4. Keep doing the same till all the rava is over dry the ladus for ten minutes and store them in a jar. If the ladu is not shaping properly add some condensed milk and try.
