Shajahani Biryani Munu's
Very tasty but a little complicated worth making it. My aunty used to make on special occasions i used to enjoy eating it. Try it and enjoy a very delicious and rich meal.
Ingredients
- 500 gms Rice ( 4 small Glasses )
- 1/2 kg Mutton Pieces
- 1 cup Curds
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Cream
- 50 gms Cashewnuts
- 2 tbsp Garam Masala
- 6 cloves
- 2 Cardamom
- 2 big Cinnamon pieces
- 3 tbsp Grated Ginger
- 5 Green Chilies
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- 11/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 Onion big

First Grind the ginger into a smooth paste. Clean the chicken and squeeze out the water from the pieces and take them in bowl. Apply the ginger paste and salt to the chicken pieces and poke the pieces with knife here and there. Leave to marinate for 2 hours.

Mix the curd, cream, milk, chili powder, garam masala and cashew nuts well and keep aside. Wash the rice and pour 7 glasses of water and let soak for half an hour. Cut the onion into rings and slit the green chilies and keep aside.

Take a kadai and pour oil and deep fry the chicken pieces. Then take a cooker put the fried chicken pieces, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom and the curd mixture and cook till the meat is tender. About 15 minutes after the whistle.

Cook the rice when the water boils decrease the flame to low and cook. Switch off when the rice is nearly cooked if any water is there drain it out.

In another big kadai arrange rice and chicken pieces alternately in layers and cook on slow flame till the rice is completely cooked and there is no water left. Garnish with coriander leaves and onion pieces and Chilies and serve hot.
