Potlakaya Fry (Snake Gourd Fry)
Easy curry good with rice or rotis. High in calcium vitamin A, C and B. Benefits the hair and skin. It also neutralizes the acid in our body, good for hyperacidity.
Ingredients
- 2 Snake Gourds Medium
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 5 Dry chilies
- 8 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Onion big
- 3 tbsp Oil
Instructions

Clean, peel and cut the snake gourds into small pieces(remove the inside seed part). Grind the chilies and garlic and keep aside.

Take a pan add the oil add the tempering(1/2 tsp each of mustard and cumin, 1 tsp each of channa and urad dal, 5 curry leaves) when they start to splutter add the onion pieces and fry till translucent and add the gourd pieces.

Also add turmeric, salt, and fry for 5 minutes stirring now and then. Now add water and cook till the gourd is properly cooked.

Now add the garlic chili paste and fry for 4 minutes more keep stirring or it will burn.

Now switch off and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
