Pesarapapu Akura Papu ( Green gram Leafy Vegetable Dal )
My favourite dal very nutritious too. I love eating it not only with rice but chapathi too. You can try different leafy vegetables with different dals. Rich in fiber, iron, calcium, B vitamins, etc.
Ingredients
- 1/2 glass Green Gram
- 4 Green chilies
- 2 Dry Red Chilies
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 5 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Onion Small
- 2 handfuls Chopped Leafy Vegetable ( Amaranth )
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 3 Tomatoes
Instructions

Wash the green gram and soak it in water for half an hour. Chop the onions, tomatoes, and green chilies.

Take a cooker put oil and temper with 1/2 tsp of cumin and mustard seeds and dry red chilies and fry also add crushed garlic, and onions and fry till translucent.

Then add tomatoes, green chilies, salt, turmeric and chopped leafy vegetable and fry for 3 minutes now add 1/2 glass water water cover with lid and cook for 7 minutes after the whistle and switch off.

When cool mash it a bit with ladle and serve with rice and papad.
