Mutton fry Simple Method
This is the usual type of mutton fry that used to be made in south Indian villages. The ingredients used are the basic things that are usually used in every south Indian house. But once you make it and eat it you will be surprised, it tastes very delicious. So try it. I know now a days every body wants westernized dishes but we need to appreciate our age old traditional dishes. This recipe is the best for mutton.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Mutton
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 11/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 4 tbsp Desiccated Coconut Dry
- 3 tsp Coriander Seeds
- 4 piece Cinnamon
- 3 Cloves
- 1/2 inch Ginger piece
- 7 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Onion
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 2 tbsp Oil
Instructions

First fry the coriander seeds, cloves and cinnamon pieces and grind them to smooth powder. Also grind coconut, ginger and garlic to a smooth paste.

Cut the onions into small pieces. Wash the mutton and take it in the cooker and let cook till all the water leaves the mutton now add masala powder and paste and fry well add turmeric, salt, and pepper powder and fry.

After 4 minutes add 1/4 glass water mix well and close the lid and cook for 20 minutes after the whistle and switch off.

Take a pan add oil and onion pieces and fry till light brown then add the mutton from the cooker and fry well add ghee and roast the mutton till brown. Serve hot with rice and dal or sambar.
