Mutton Fry (Kothapalle Fry)

My village name is kothapalle and this fry is to be made in my mother's house in that village so the name. Very old and traditional taste. Try it you will want to make it again and again. Pepper is used so the meat will be digested easily. Rich in proteins.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg Mutton
  • 11/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp Dry coconut Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 3 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. First take the mutton and wash it thoroughly and put it in the cooker and let the water evaporate then add salt, pepper, turmeric, coconut powder and coriander powder and ginger garlic paste, fry for two minutes, then pour 1/2 glass water close the cooker lid and cook for 15 minutes after the whistle.

  2. Now take a pan add oil and curry leaves 3 cloves, 3 cinnamon, add onion pieces and fry till they become light brown now add the meat and fry till all the water leaves and the meat gets roasted well keep stirring in between.

  3. If you want more pepper or salt you can add. If you want you can garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with plain rice or fried rice, Pulav anything. It tastes good with chapatis and bread also.
