This is the best curry with rajma.  It is most nutritious and provides good amount of proteins for vegetarians, also rich in iron potassium and fiber.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Rajma
  • 3 Onions medium size
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 11/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 3 Tomatoes Pureed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 tbsp Cream
  • 3 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the rajma overnight in water.  Next day take the rajma in cooker and throw away the soaked water.  Now add fresh water about 3/4 glass and add salt and cook for 15 minutes after the whistle.

  2. Chop the onions finely. Fry the tomatoes in little oil and puree them.

  3. Now take a pan add oil and chopped onions and fry till brown.  Then add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder and chili powder and fry then add tomato puree and fry for 5 minutes.

  4. Then add the boiled rajma with the water and cook also add garam masala powder keep stirring in between. 

  5. Keep cooking till the oil surfaces. The curry should not get dry add a little water and cook if it gets dry.  Before switching off add cream and chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rotis or rice.
