Ingredients

  • 2 cups Curry Leaves
  • 7 Dried Red Chilies
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tsp Black Gram Seeds
  • 11/2 tsp Channa Dal
  • 1 Small Ball Tamarind

Instructions

  1. Wash the curry leaves and drain them and leave them in a plate for 8 hrs to dry.

  2. Then take a pan add 2 tsp oil and add the curry leaves and fry till slightly crispy, please don't burn keep stirring.

  3. Also fry the red chilies, cumin, urad, tamarind and channa dal separately. 

  4. Now take all the ingredients in a blender after cooling add 11/2 tsp salt and the cloves and grind to a powder and store in a air tight bottle.  

  5. This powder can be eaten with rice, upma, idli, dosas, etc. it can also be sprinkled over fries. Pregnant women can take a spoon of it with butter milk everyday.
