Dondakaya Talimpu ( simple Tindora Fry)
Dondakaya Talimpu (Ivy Gourd Fry)
Simple and tasty dish high in nutrients. good with rice and sambar or papu(dal). A must try for all beginners you will feel confident of your cooking skills.
Ingredients
- 1/4 kg Ivy Gourd (Dondakaya)
- 1 Onion big
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Corriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
Instructions

Clean and cut the Ivy Gourd pieces (cut into round shapes).

Take a pan add enough oil needed for deep frying now put the gourd pieces in the oil and deep fry them. If you do not like to deep fry then you can shallow fry them but it takes long.

Take a kadai put 2 to 4 tsp oil add tempering add 4 curry leaces add the onion pieces and fry till translucent add the deep fried gourd pieces fry for 2 minutes.

Now add salt, turmeric,chili powder and coriander powder. Fry for 3 more minutes keep stirring mix evenly.

Then switch off garnish with corriander leaves.

Best side dish with papu or sambar.
