Chicken with Fenugreek Leaves
Chicken with Fenugreek Leaves ( Menthi akutho Kodi )
This dish can also be tried with mutton in fact mutton tastes better with fenugreek leaves. rich in calcium, iron, fiber and B complex.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Chicken or Muttom
- 3 Big Onions
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Salt leveled
- 11/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 2 Cloves
- 4 small pieces Cinnamon
- 2 bunches Fenugreek leaves
- 11/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
- 3 tbsp Masala ( Coconut and coriander powder paste )
Instructions

First wash the chicken pieces and squeeze out the excess water from chicken and take it in a cooker and cook on low flame till all the water leaves the chicken.

Chop the onions and add them to the chicken, also add salt, turmeric, chili powder and fry for 3 minutes and add 1/2 glass water and close the lid and cook for 5 minutes if chicken and 15 minutes if mutton, after the whistle.

Grind three tbsp dry desiccated coconut and 2 tbsp coriander powder into a smooth paste. Clean and cop the fenugreek Leaves.

Take a pan add 4 tbsp oil and put cloves, cinnamon, ginger garlic paste and fry then add masala and fry till it gets golden brown now add the chicken from the cooker and cook till all the water leaves and the curry gets thick.

To the end add pepper powder and fry for sometime and switch off. It tastes good with rice or rotis.
