Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 3 Onions
  • 1 Inch Ginger Piece
  • 10 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 4 Pepper Cones
  • 2 Small Pieces Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken well and squeeze out the excess water and keep aside.  Chop the onions, chilies and tomatoes.  Grind the ginger and garlic into a paste.

  2. Now take a pan add oil and cumin, and when they splutter add clove, cardamom cinnamon and pepper cones and fry then add the chopped onions and fry till light brown.

  3. Add ginger garlic paste and fry add chopped chilies, salt, turmeric and curds and cook for few minutes. then add chopped tomatoes and chili powder keep stirring after two minutes add the chicken pieces.

  4. Saute the chicken till the oil separates from the masala, pour a glass of water and cook on low flame for twenty minutes or till the chicken is cooked.  Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
