Ingredients

  • 1 Medium Sized Cauliflower
  • 2 Big Onions
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 7 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 inch Ginger Piece
  • 3 tbsp Besan ( Chana Dal Flour )
  • 2 tsp Fried Chana Dal Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt leveled
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves Powder optional

Instructions

  1. Take the cauliflower and separate it into small florets and take them in a dish add water and a little salt and boil for 5 minutes till the florets are cooked. They should not get too soft.

  2. Chop the chilies, ginger and garlic into fine pieces.  Chop the onions also.

  3. Take a pan add 2 tsp oil and add the green chilies, onions, garlic and ginger pieces and fry till the onions get translucent add 5 curry leaves also.

  4.  Take the besan and fried chana dal powder in a dish add little salt and pepper powder and add water little by little and mix well till it gets consistency of dosa batter.

  5. Now take a kadai and add 4 tbsp oil and add the cauliflower florets and fry for 2 minutes then add the besan batter and mix well so it coats the florets evenly and fry till golden brown. If you feel you can't manage them all at once you can fry them little at a time.

  6. Once the cauliflower gets fried well add the fried onion masala and chili powder, coriander powder, fenugreek powder and fry for some time and switch off and garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
