Ingredients

  • 6 Brinjals
  • 5 Green Chillies
  • 1 Onion
  • 5 Garlic Peels
  • 1 tsp Corriander Powder
  • 1 marble sized Tamarind
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut brinjal into small pieces and put them in salt water and keep aside. cut the onions and green chilles and keep aside.

  2. Take a cooker add 4 tsp oil and put brinjal pieces, onion pieces and corriander powder and fry for 5 minutes and add turmeric, salt and chilli powder and also add tamarind and pour 1/4 glass water and cook for 2 whistles and switch off.

  3. Then remove the lid and take a ladle and mash the curry a bit. Then take a pan add 2 tsp oil and add seasoning and curry leaves once they splutter add the curry from the cooker and add onion pieces and fry for 5 minutes now the pulagura is ready.

  4. Curry without dal is called pulagura.
