Bottle Gourd Korma With Water Melon Seeds

Water melon seeds are high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids good immunity boosters. They are vitamin rich and have zinc and manganese too. So definitely try this curry very tasty with chapatis and with rice also it is good.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Gourd
  • 2 tbsp Grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp Water Melon Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Onion big
  • 1 Tomato big
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp Chili Powder
  • 7 Garlic Pods
  • 1/2 Ginger Piece(1/2 inch)
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Fist grind coconut, water melon seeds, sesame seeds, onion, tomato and coriander powder and keep aside. You can put all at once in the grinding jar and grind them to a smooth paste.

  2. Wash, peel and cut the gourd into medium pieces and keep aside. Also remove the seed part inside it should not be used.

  3. Now take the cooker put oil and 1/4 tsp cumin seeds and 6 curry leaves and after a minute add chili powder, turmeric, salt and masala and fry till golden brown then add the gourd pieces and fry for another 5 minutes..

  4. Now add 1/2 glass water if you want it more watery you can add more water.

  5. Close the cooker lid and after the whistle blows cook for 3 minutes and switch off

  6. Wait till the pressure lessens in the cooker open lid and garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot.
