Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Gourd small sized
  • 6 Cashew Nuts
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 4 tsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel and cut the gourd into small pieces.

  2. Grind cashew nuts and mix them in the half cup milk and keep aside.

  3. Take a pan add oil and temper with 1/4 tsp each of mustard and cumin seeds and urad and channa dal 1 tsp and 5 curry leaves after they start spluttering add the gourd pieces.

  4. Fry for a minute then add salt, chili powder, turmeric and add 1/4 cup water and close the lid and cook for 7 to 10 minutes till the vegetable is cooked stir occasionally.

  5. When the gourd is cooked to your liking now add milk and cashew nut mix and cook for 2 minutes and switch off. 

  6. Serve hot with chapati or rice isn't it yummy.
