Veg cutlets

As they are made with vegetables it is quite healthy snack and children will love it. At least they will eat vegetables when cooked this way.  Quite easy to make also. So make this tasty treat for your family. You don't need to deep fry it you can shallow fry it.

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes big
  • 1 Onion big
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Beans
  • 1/4 cup Finely Chopped Carrots
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 2 slices Bread

Instructions

  1. First clean the potatoes and cut them into four pieces and boil them in cooker for 5 minutes after whistle blows. After they cool remove skin and mash them add 1/2 tsp salt and the bread slices ( the slices should be soaked in water and then squeeze out the water and add to the potato mash and mix thoroughly.

  2. Now boil the peas, carrots, beans, tomatoes. Now take a pan add oil and add onions and fry till light brown add ginger garlic paste, turmeric, salt 1/2 tsp and chili powder and cook for sometime and then add the boiled vegetables and fry them for 5 minutes and switch off and add one lime juice to this and mix well.

  3. Now take the mashed potato mix make them into small balls and make a hole in the middle and fill it with the vegetable mix and close and make them into flat rounds and fry them. If you like you can coat them in bread powder and fry. This gives a crunchy taste.

  4. Enjoy the cutlets with rice and curry.  You can also serve them as a snack to be enjoyed in the evenings.
