Papula Podi Eshwarama's ( Fried Channa Dal Powder )
It Tastes very good with dosas and idlis. It is also good with rice and ghee yummy. Very easy to make so all of you please try this. This powder can also be added to fries like beans fry, cabbage fry, potato fry etc. Can be stored in the fridge for 3 to 4 months.
Ingredients
- 1 kg Fried Chana dal
- 6 tbsp Chili powder heaped
- 2 tbsp Salt leveled
- 9 tbsp Desiccated Coconut dry
- 1 cup Garlic flakes
- 5 tbsp Cumin Seeds leveled
Instructions

First you should fry dry red chilies and powder them and then use 6 tbsp of that powder.

Then fry the cumin and keep aside. Fry on low flame so it does not burn and when it gives out a sweet aroma switch off and let cool.

Now take a big grinding jar and add chana dal, salt, chili powder, cumin, dried coconut powder and powder all then add garlic and grind till the powder becomes fine and gets well mixed.

Taste and if more salt is needed you can add little by little and grind. Enjoy the taste of this powder with idlis and dosas and rice, this powder can be used to make instant idiyapam.
